**Things to note**
While the ammo loops are coated with a sealer to resist corroding brass casings, it is not recommended that you store brass-cased ammunition in the loops for more than a few days, especially if exposed to rain or snow. Brass will corrode if left in the loops. If you intend to keep ammo in the holder for longer-term storage we recommend using nickel-coated casings as they a far more corrosion resistant.
The cord fastened style of our ammo holder tends to work best on synthetic stocks, as it’s more likely to be left on the gun for the long-term and has no chance of affecting the stock’s finish. While we have not experienced any negative interactions between our leathers and wood finishes, we er’ on the side of caution and do not recommend long-term storage of ammo holders on wooden stocks. See our “Quick Detach” style of ammo holder for wooden stocks.
